Are You Spoiling Your Baby?
In This Article

Can you “un-spoil” your baby?
What to do if your little angel is turning into a mini-monster? If you jumped at the first sign of tears well into your baby’s first year, fear not – you can still regain some control. “It’s kind of like your lawn,” Nieman says. “If you don’t cut the grass for a really long time, it will be tougher to do, but you can still do it. It will just take more patience, more persistence and more consistency.” This is why establishing good habits and routines (especially around eating and sleeping) is important right from the start. “If you let your baby make music and you dance every time, what happens when they start playing faster and faster?” asks Nieman.
