Put Your Sunscreen to the Test
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) , tested 1,799 sunscreens for effectiveness and safety. Two of five brand-name sunscreens either failed to protect skin from sun damage and/or contained hazardous chemicals. But things are looking better. Seventy percent of sunscreen products not contain strong UVA filters (compared to 29 percent in 2008).
